The Williams Inhibition Test (WIT)
This is a test which requires the subject to make responses while inhibiting competing information (The Stroop Effect). Inhibiting competing information so that you can maintain attention on another set of stimuli is an important function of the frontal lobes. This test allows the user to demonstrate this effect. It is useful for demonstrations of this principle or as a testing methodology for research. It serves as an assessment of problem solving and rule formation for those patients who are too impaired to take other complex reasoning tests, such as the Category Test.
